IMPACT!
IMPACT is the parent-teacher organization for Pownal Elementary School. Our mission is to support our teachers and provide extra enrichment activities for the children. Here are some examples of the things we do:
Funding for field trips including the Southworth Planetarium and the Maine Wildlife Park
Scholarships for Lost Valley ski program
After-school enrichment activities including running club, basketball, ice skating, fiber arts, volleyball, and garden club.
Insurance and stipends for after school enrichment programs
Community partnership with the Pownal Recreation committee for Pownal Pumpkinfest and Pownal Community Day
Coordination of the Giving Tree donation which provides teacher and staff with reqested donations for the classroom/school

IMPACT Committees
Family Events
The committee that brings all the fun! Planning things like trunk or treat, the annual Sea Dogs game and Family Skate night.
Teacher Appreciation
Help show our love for teachers and staff by planning teacher conference meals, organizing Teacher Appreciation Week and the end of the year luncheon.
Fundraising
Help IMPACT raise money to provide our students with new opportunities. Our efforts help purchase cross country skis, contribute to visiting artist and authors and pay for student field trips.
